Hi, I’m Donovan Lambert! I’m a Character Designer and Illustrator from the Chicagoland area with over four years of experience in meticulously creating and researching ecological creature designs, from cute li’l critters to eldritch horrors. My illustration style draws from a combination of the rebellious, self-expressive energy of graffiti, and the intricate, handwritten style of medieval typography. I blend this with the visual language of horror / macabre stories and old folk tales, written with an unhinged, sarcastic sense of humor.
I graduated from Indiana University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2024 with a Bachelors in Media Arts and Science. During my education, I’ve had hands-on experience as an Illustrator, Character Designer, and Concept Artist from collaborating on various projects, including character and creature designs, mood boards, 2D assets, UI/UX elements, and promotional materials. I’ve using my experience in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), as well as game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity.
