Hi, my name’s Donovan. I’m an Illustrator and Ecological Character Designer. My work focuses on creating designs that have both personality and purpose, ranging from li’l critters to eldritch horrors.

Artist Statement

I’ve always been fascinated by animals and how they adapt to their current environment. All life on Earth originated from a common ancestor, one that proceeded to find billions of different ways to survive and thrive on this planet through billions of years of evolution. The idea of that has always made me ask the question "why do we do the things we do?". Through that lens, my work blends the scientific curiosity of ecology with the fantastical imagination of storytelling.
